What we do.
When disaster strikes, be it an earthquake, flood, or hurricane, the immediate need for clean water is critical. Water Survival Box steps in swiftly, delivering essential survival kits that include water filtration units, hygiene items, and basic tools to rebuild lives.

What We Are
A rapid response for families who have no access to safe drinking water and have also lost. Since our inception, we’ve provided life-saving aid to countless families around the world. We Help People in Need.
The Rotary Water Survival Box initiative was launched in 2004 at Chelwood Village Hall in Somerset following the Indian Ocean tsunami and contains water filters, hygiene items and basic tools.
Since then, the project has been used in 92 natural and man-made disasters around the world, including in 47 different countries, most recently in Lebanon and Ukraine.
Clean water is essential to protect against water-borne disease. In most natural disasters, homes have been destroyed and all possessions lost. The box also contains a range of essential survival items including cooking pots, bowls/plates, mugs, and utensils; health and hygiene items; basic shelter and simple tools.

The Water Survival Box
For families that have lost everything following a disaster
The Water Survival Box is a survival kit that provides immediate and long-term assistance to people suffering from natural disasters . Disaster victims face the ruins of their lives, their water supply collapses, and they often lose all their possessions. In this emergency situation, contaminated water poses a further danger, as it contains germs and bacteria that can cause life-threatening illnesses.
The core component of the Water Survival Box is therefore a specially developed water filter that enables families to independently purify potable, virus- and bacteria-free water for a period of five years, sparing them additional suffering from waterborne diseases.
